Alison & Danny at Balbirnie House Hotel

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting Alison and Danny’s wedding at Balbirnie.  It was a sunny winter’s day with a snow/sleet/rain shower half way through the group shots… luckily Balbirnie has plenty of picturesque spots inside as well as outside!  The day had a lovely atmosphere and was full of personal touches including origami flowers, a coffee van to keep the guests warm, a Tunnocks teacake tower for the cake and a gramophone DJ to name a few.

Storybook Style Albums

It is often hard to describe a storybook album to someone who hasn’t seen one!  Ideally I like to show couples some sample albums but it isn’t always possible for couples to come and meet before the wedding.  I took a few photos this morning for a couple who live in Essex and are getting married at the College Halls at St Andrews University next month.  I thought I would share them here

The storybooks come with a choice of covers (the one shown is cream leather) and comes in a presentation box.  As you can see the pages on the storybooks I use are very thick (some storybook albums have thin pages).  The images are laid out as a design and printed into lustre paper.  The pages are ‘lay flat’ so when the book is open the design lies over two pages with minimal creasing at the seam. After the wedding I do the initial design and you have the final say.  The number of pages and dimensions of the book are also optional to suit each couple.

If you would like to come and see some albums, get in touch!
