It is no secret that I love Kinnettles Castle as a wedding venue so I was excited to be asked to photograph Stuart and Lauren’s big day here in July. They had put lots of effort in to the details of the day and these cute signs met me as i arrived at the Castle 🙂 The girls were getting ready in the Castle with a glass of champagne. With some help from her Mum and Bridesmaids, Lauren got into her dress and looked absolutely stunning! The rain had started by the time the guests were arriving and didn’t stop until almost dinner time! The ceremony took place in the marquee, where Stuart nervously awaited his bride… After the ceremony, we took the group shots and some couple shots inside the castle. The great thing about Kinnettles is that even when you have a rainy day, there are still plenty of options for backdrops to keep the photos looking varied! Around ten minutes before everyone was due to sit down for dinner, the rain went off and we were outside like a shot to take some photos in the beautiful grounds around the Castle! Lauren was a brave bride and didn’t mind the bottom of her dress getting muddy in exchange for some great photos 🙂 The guests enjoyed the day and the speeches, all guests were given a shot to drink and I loved capturing their expressions after drinking it!Congratulations Lauren and Stuart, wishing you a long and happy life together <3
I’ve been so lucky in almost a decade of shooting weddings to visit some amazing venues including so many castles in Scotland I didn’t even know existed! There are a few I still haven’t visited yet (or have only been once) that I would love to booked for so I’ve made a wish list and to hopefully couples getting married at these venues. So if you are getting married at any of these and you like my work, please get in touch!
That is my local wishlist but I’d also love to shoot a wedding in Gozo or Malta where I go on holiday every year so if you are marrying there, get in touch and make my dreams come true!
