Carnoustie Golf Hotel Wedding with Becky and Andy

Carnoustie Golf Hotel has some great views and is next to a beautiful beach so it’s easy to see why Becky and Andy chose it for their wedding day. The bridal suite is huge and perfect for getting ready on the morning…

Becky and her bridesmaids enjoyed some champagne and got themselves organised for the big day ahead.

The ceremony was held at Panbride Country Church on the outskirts of Carnoustie.

Becky arrived in style in a VW Camper Van!

Her Dad walked her into the church to meet Andy…

It was sunny day (despite the cold and wind!) so after a few congratulations and family photos, we headed to Carnoustie beach for a few photos..

We had a quick 5 minute shoot on the sand before heading back to the hotel

We got everyone outside for a big group photo on the patio, it’s a great backdrop!

Becky and Andy enjoyed a few drinks and a catch up with their guests before dinner.

The evening guests arrived in time for the cake cutting and a bit of dancing..

The sky looked amazing just before sunset so I took them out for a few photos outside before I left…

Dundee Wedding Photography at All Souls Church and Invercarse Hotel with Ailie and Michael

The September weather was perfect for wedding photography on Ailie and Michael’s big day. The photography started at Ailie’s parents’ house in Dundee where the bridal party were getting ready.

Ailie’s dress was made from beautiful fabric with lovely details. Her bridesmaids helped her get dressed.

The wedding ceremony was at All Souls Church in Invergowrie, Michael and the guests were getting seated, ready for the bridal party arriving.

Ailie’s Dad walked her up the aisle to meet her soon-to-be Husband.

After the ceremony, we did a few group shots at the church, the neighbours kindly let us use their garden! I loved colours of the bridesmaids dresses together with the kilts….

The wedding reception was held at the Invercarse Hotel, Dundee. It was perfect weather for the guests to enjoy a few drinks and chat in the garden while Ailie and Michael had some photos together.

The gardens are Invercarse are lovely for photos.

The speeches before dinner were hilarious. I was the Photographer for Michael’s best man a few years ago so I had heard them both speak before and knew there would be some good stories shared!

It was a lovely evening so we got a few photos outside before the evening guests arrived and the dancing kicked off.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bannon x

The Cow Shed Crail Wedding with Andrew and Mairi

The Cow Shed in Crail is an amazing venue and Mairi and Andrew’s wedding was just as great, you’ll soon see why!

I started the day with some Bridal Prep photos at Sypsies Farmhouse where the ladies were getting ready for the wedding. Yes, those pink Vans are Mairi’s wedding shoes, I was in love with these!

Meanwhile, over at the Cow Shed, Andrew was welcoming their guests before the ceremony.

The ladies arrived excited and in good time!

They had a lovely, personal Humanist ceremony before heading out for some drinks, canapes and photos..

The Cow Shed has the most amazing grounds for photos, the farm makes some great backdrops.

It was soon time to head inside for speeches and the meal, which was fully Vegan and fully tasty!

We went outside again for a few photos with the festoon lighting before the Ceilidh dancing kicked off!

Balbirnie House Hotel Wedding Photography with Angela and Tommy

Balbirnie House has recently been voted the best wedding venue in the world so I probably don’t need to explain why I like photographing there! Angela and Tommy had their wedding here back in May on a seriously sunny day! I arrived to see the garden all set up for an outdoor ceremony…

Then I headed inside to find Angela and the ladies getting ready for the occasion…

The girl’s were ready early so we had time for some photos in their room before the ceremony.

Meanwhile Tommy and the guests were waiting in the sunshine…

After the ceremony, there was a drinks reception on the lawn and we took some group photos …

I also captured some of the happy couple, we found some shaded corners out of the intense sun!

I got some shots of all the gorgeous details of the day, how good does this cake look?! Can you spot the subtle Disney theme in the decor?….

After some hilarious and emotional speeches, the guests were surprised by some singing Waiters…

Even the real Waiters got into the spirit of it! The evening guests were next to arrive, followed by a bit of dancing…

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Keay!

Perth Small Wedding Photography with Akos and Andrea

I love a bit of small wedding Photography and this was a tiny one, with only 7 guests! I spend just two hours in Perth, taking photos of Andrea and Akos. We were so lucky with the weather, it was warm and sunny so luckily not too much a shock to the system for Andrea’s family who had come from sunny Hungary for the occasion!

The ceremony was held in the Old Council Chambers at Perth Registrars. It is a beautiful old building as you can see here. Andrea walked up the aisle with her Dad to meet her Groom….

They had decided to keep the ceremony short as Andrea’s parents don’t speak English so we weren’t there long but it was a lovely ceremony.

After the ceremony, everyone came out into the Scottish sunshine for a wander along the riverside to the North Inch park for some photos.

Perth has lots of old buildings and great scenery for wedding photography so we had a few stops along the way.

We took a few family photos at the North Inch before heading to the Royal George Hotel where they were having their wedding reception.

The George Hotel is another lovely old building with stained glass windows. I captured a few shots of everyone relaxing and enjoying a celebratory drinks before I left them to enjoy themselves. I was only with them for two hours which is perfect to capture the best parts of a tiny wedding like this.

Cheers Andrea and Akos, enjoy married life!

Scottish Farm wedding with Kirsty and Greig

I love a good Scottish farm wedding so I was excited to photograph Kirsty and Greig’s big day on Kirsty’s family farm in Angus. The day started off with some bridal prep photography at Kirsty’s Parents’ house.

They had an impressive Marquee set up for the celebrations. Lots of time and effort had been put in to make the garden look amazing…. we weren’t in the garden much… you’ll find out why soon!

The girls were having a lovely time getting ready while the boys headed to Carmyllie Parish Church where my second Photographer, Lynne, was waiting to capture them meeting the guests.

It was time for Kirsty to go to meet her soon to be Husband!

It was a great ceremony, the Minister kept everyone amused!

The guests came out into the sunshine to throw some confetti on the newlyweds!

We headed back to the farm to take some photos with the beautiful views from their fields.

Black thunder clouds were rolling in so we had around 2 minutes before we all had to make a run for it!

Luckily there was plenty of space in the Marquee to shelter the guests during the heavy downpour!

About 2 minutes before they were due to start dinner, the rain went off and I spotted a rainbow across the road. It was too rare an opportunity to miss so we dashed over for a few photos before being called to do speeches.

It turned out to be a nice evening so the guests were able to enjoy the garden at last! Everyone made good use of dance floor that night too ūüôā

Congratulations!

Elopement to a Scottish Castle

Forter Castle is one of my all time favourite wedding venues.¬† It is only a 40 minute drive from Dundee but feels like a million miles away.¬† It is so remote and quiet with background noises of sheep and birds tweeting and views of miles and miles of un-spoilt countryside. Colin and Toni came from Australia to have their wedding here which I think was a great online shopping choice!¬† An elopement to a Scottish Castle is always a good choice if you ask me! ¬†I love how dark and cosy the bridal suite is in the Castle.¬† Toni did her own hair and make-up with the help of her Mum and Sister.¬†Meanwhile Colin’s Mum came from Seattle to sort him out! ¬†The ceremony was outside in the Castle grounds, which made a stunning backdrop for photos ūüôā¬†The ceremony kicked off with a song Colin had made for Toni.¬† He enlisted her Dad to be his Guitarist and I think she like it…¬†Poppy the dog definitely did! ¬†Once the knot was tied and papers were signed, the guests all went inside to warm up while we took some photos outside before the rain came on!¬†It was such a relaxed and happy wedding, I probably don’t need to say that, you can tell by the photos!¬† There was a bit of confetti action during the group shot as well…. ¬†Toni and Colin got a nice warm welcome on their return and sat down for dinner with their guests and a few speeches.

Congratulations Toni and Colin, I hope you all had a great holiday in Scotland!  I got a lovely email to say:

The photos are perfect! Thank you so much!
